FxFactory 2.0.7

This free update brings many new products based on FxFactory: idustrial revolution Volumetrix 2, Motype 1.2, DVShade EasyLooks 2.5 and Boinx FxTiles 1.0.

Current FxFactory Pro 2 customers get three new plug-ins in this release: the “PDF Animator” and “Perlin Noise” generators, and the “Alpha Merger” filter in the color correction category.

What's New in FxFactory Pro?

PDF Animator

Based on the same user interface of the free Pan and Zoom plug-in, PDF Animator lets you animate PDF graphics with minimal setup inside any supported host. PDF Animator preserves the sharpness of your vector graphics at any zoom level.

Alpha Merger

This filter lets you assign new alpha information to a clip by importing it from a secondary source. For example, Alpha Merger lets you combine a first clip containing only color information, with a second clip containing a grayscale representation of the alpha channel (matte track).

Perlin Noise

This generator is a GPU-accelerated variant of the Perlin Noise algorithm, which earned his author, Ken Perlin, a Technical Achievement Award from the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences. The output of the Perlin Noise plug-in can be combined with other effects to simulate a variety of natural phenomena.

In addition to the new plug-ins, FxFactory Pro 2.0.7 brings numerous performance and quality improvements to all filters in the “NI Blur” and “NI Glow” categories.

idustrial revolution Volumetrix 2

The newest version of Volumetrix adds exciting animation, glow and distortion capabilities to the popular volumetric light-spill plug-ins by idustrial revolution. Volumetrix 2 includes the previous version of Volumetrix plug-ins to guarantee compatibility with your existing projects. Best of all, the upgrade is free for current Volumetrix customers.

Boinx FxTiles

FxTiles is a new set of 3D plug-ins developed by Boinx Software, the latest company to develop visual effects based on FxFactory. Boinx FxTiles includes 7 filters and transitions with flexible animation controls and many built-in presets to achieve great results immediately.

Yanobox Motype 1.2

Motype 1.2 adds optional Drop Shadow, Glow on characters and 10 stunning new presets to the popular text generator by Yanobox.

DVShade EasyLooks 2.5

The new version of EasyLooks includes a new rendering pipeline for quicker renders and improved quality. Also included is a brand new 3-way color corrector, new gradient overlay controls and a vignette effect. Version 2.5 is a free upgrade for existing users, bundled together with the previous version to maintain compatibility with your existing projects based on EasyLook 2.0.

License Backups and Transfer

The FxFactory application now allows you to backup existing licenses as well as transfer them easily over the network. To backup an existing license, open the FxFactory “Preferences” window, select one or more active licenses from the list and click the “Export Licenses” button to save it to disc:

The resulting file can be stored for backup purposes and re-activated at any time. To activate a license saved to disc, double-click the file to launch FxFactory and process your registration. Doing so will save you the time and trouble of remembering and entering your registration codes again.

Licenses can also be transferred to a different system on the local network. Enable the following option to allow licenses to be transferred:

A password is required. To import licenses from a different system, open the Network Browser on the second computer:

Find and select your system, and click the “Transfer Licenses” button to initiate the license transfer. Please note that single-workstation licenses do not allow you to use a commercial product simultaneously on more than one system. This feature is only designed to save you time when setting up a new system to work on. If you need to run the same commercial plug-ins on more than one system at once, please purchase additional licenses or contact our sales staff for information on volume licensing.
