Changes in this version:
• Factory Floor: Added the ability to map text parameters to a Font popup menu in the AVX host. This allows titling plug-ins (e.g. "Futurismo Titles v2") to provide a menu for selecting among the fonts installed on the system.
• Reactor: Added the ability to display font popup menus in the plug-in interface inside the Avid editing application. The popup menu displays font names using their Postscript identifiers (e.g. "LucidaGrande-Bold").

Please note that the new features in Factory Tools require Mac OS X 10.4.5 (or later). Please make sure that you system is up to date before using any plug-ins that take advantage of the Font menu.

Upgrading from Factory Tools 1.0.0 and 1.0.1

The following information affects users who are upgrading from Factory Tools 1.0.0 and have made changes to the effect libraries that shipped as part of that release, namely "Core Effects" and "Compositions Vol 1".
The "Core Effects" and "Compositions Vol 1" libraries have now been merged into a single effect library named "Built-in Effects". To prevent the accidental loss of user-made plug-ins, the installer on this disk moves the old "Core Effects" and "Compositions Vol 1" libraries to the following location:

''/Users/Shared/Noise Industries/Installer Backup''

To recover any plug-ins that you added to those libraries, simply double-click their icon in the Finder. Factory Floor will prompt you to install the libraries again, and will let you re-enable any custom plug-ins.

Factory Tools 1.0.3 supports one of the following Mac hosts:

• Avid Xpress DV 4.8.x
• Avid Xpress Pro 4.8.x
• Avid Media Composer Adrenaline 1.8.x
