Draws a filled or stroked circle with varying color and opacity for the shape and background.

This generator may be useful in generating masks (mattes) for use by other effects.

Effect Parameters

Presets
Presets contain a snapshot of the plug-in parameters. The Presets control lets you choose among one of the presets built into the plug-in, save current parameter values to a preset file, or load an existing preset file from disk.
A preset file saved to disk via the "Save As" button can be loaded from another instance of the same plug-in by clicking the "Open" button. Presets generated in one host can also be loaded from the same plug-in when used in a different host.

Center
The center of the circle.

Type
Defines whether the circle is filled, or stroked with the "Inner Color" parameter.

Radius
The radius of the circle.

Stroke Width
When the value of the "Type" parameter is "Stroked", this parameter defines the width of the stroke.

Softness
Defines the transition between the inner and outer regions of the circle. A higher softness value may help reduce flickering when the stroke width is thin.

Softness Curve
Defines the gradation curve used to transition from the inside a shape to its edges. When the “Quadratic” or “Cubic” options are selected, the gradation starts and ends closer to the inside of the shape. The “Inverse Quadratic” and “Inverse Cubic” options move the gradation to the outer edge of the shape.

Inner Color, Inner Opacity
The color and opacity used to stroke, or fill, the circle according to the current selection of the "Type" parameter.

Outer Color, Outer Opacity
The color and opacity used to fill the background. When the current selection of the "Type" parameter is "Stroked", these parameters also define the color and opacity of the region inside the circle.

Correct for Aspect Ratio
Scales the image to its natural display aspect ratio before the effect is applied. This parameter guarantees that geometric features in the effect appear undistorted when the footage is viewed at its display aspect ratio.
This parameter should be enabled for most footage whose display aspect ratio differs from the native aspect ratio of the codec, e.g. NTSC DV frames recorded at 720x480 pixels and displayed at 4:3 (640x480 pixels), or HDV frames recorded at 1440x1080 and displayed at 16:9 (1920x1080 pixels).
Disable this option if you have already taken steps to adjust the frame aspect ratio and/or notice that this parameter is causing unwanted distortion in your footage rather than preventing it.

High-precision Output
This parameter, available only inside Final Cut Pro, controls the color range of the final output. Although you will see no difference in the Canvas window (due to the fact that Final Cut Pro always previews in 8 bit color) high-precision clamping ensures that your output falls within a predictable range. This feature will often save you an extra post-processing step and come in handy when the only previewing device available is the built-in display.

Color Space
This parameter allows you to choose a working color space for the effect. When the “Linear” option is selected, the plug-in will convert all color values to a non-gamma-corrected format. When the “Uncorrected” option is selected, the color values supplied by the host will be used directly, without conversion. It may help to choose “Uncorrected” when dealing with smooth gradients or vector-art backgrounds, or if you have already applied gamma correction to your source media in a previous step of your workflow.
