Adds rounded corners and optionally crops the source image.
Effect Parameters
Crop With
Controls how the area to be cropped is to be defined. The available options are:
- Uniform Margin – a single parameter allows you to crop the original image uniformly, along all four edges.
- Separate Margins – four separate parameters allow you to select a different crop margin for each edge.
- Points – two point parameters allow you to select the crop region by picking coordinates anywhere in the frame.
Uniform Margin
This parameter lets you define a uniform crop region. A value of 0.5 indicates that 50% of the original image will be cropped. This parameter is only available when the “Crop With” parameter is set to “Uniform Margin”.
Margin Top / Left / Bottom / Right
These parameters control the size of each crop margin, relative to the frame. For example, a value of 0.1 for the top margin indicates that 10% of the image will be cropped along its top edge. These parameters are only available when the “Crop With” parameter is set to “Separate Margins”.
Point (1) / (2)
These point parameters define the crop region. These parameters are only available when the “Crop With” parameter is set to “Points”.
Corner Units
Controls the units used to specify the radius and softness of each corner:
- Pixels – The “Radius” and “Softness” parameter use pixel-based units.
- Relative to Frame Size – The “Radius” and “Softness” parameters use values relative to the frame dimensions.
Radius
Defines the radius of each rounded corner, expressed in pixel-based units. Although the range for this parameters allows you to enter values up to 1000 pixels, the actual value is limited by the dimensions of your source media. For example, when working with progressive HD media whose dimensions are 1920x1080 pixels, the radius can only go as high as 540 pixels (half the size of the smallest dimension).
Softness
Defines the softness of the contour of each cropped region, expressed in pixel-based units. The value of this parameter cannot exceed the value specified for the “Radius” parameter. If the “Softness” value exceeds the “Radius” parameter value, the plug-in will automatically use the maximum allowed “Softness” value.
Softness Curve
Defines the gradation curve used to transition from the inside a shape to its edges. When the “Quadratic” or “Cubic” options are selected, the gradation starts and ends closer to the inside of the shape. The “Inverse Quadratic” and “Inverse Cubic” options move the gradation to the outer edge of the shape.

Radius (% of Frame)
Defines the radius of each rounded corner, expressed relative to the overall dimensions of the frame. For example, a value of 1 means that the largest possible radius will be used, given the dimensions of the input media.
Softness (% of Frame)
Defines the softness of the contour of each cropped region, expressed relative to the current radius. For example, a value of 0.5 means that 50% of the area of each rounded corner will be smoothed.
Presets
Presets contain a snapshot of the plug-in parameters. The Presets control lets you choose among one of the presets built into the plug-in, save current parameter values to a preset file, or load an existing preset file from disk.
A preset file saved to disk via the "Save As" button can be loaded from another instance of the same plug-in by clicking the "Open" button. Presets generated in one host can also be loaded from the same plug-in when used in a different host.
