Crops random regions of the source image according to a given range and speed, to generate a smooth animation.
Effect Parameters
Presets
Presets contain a snapshot of the plug-in parameters. The Presets control lets you choose among one of the presets built into the plug-in, save current parameter values to a preset file, or load an existing preset file from disk.
A preset file saved to disk via the "Save As" button can be loaded from another instance of the same plug-in by clicking the "Open" button. Presets generated in one host can also be loaded from the same plug-in when used in a different host.
Min / Max Width %
These parameters define the range of widths allowed for the crop. A range defined by a minimum width of 20% and a maximum width of 80% means that the width of all cropped frames is going to be no less than 20%, and no more than 80% of the original image's width.
Min / Max Height %
These parameters define the range of heights allowed for the crop. A range defined by a minimum height of 20% and a maximum height of 80% means that the height of all cropped frames is going to be no less than 20%, and no more than 80% of the original image's height.
Frames/sec
Defines how many randomly cropped frames are drawn per second.
Animation Seed
The "seed" value used to crop random regions in the source. The sequence of frames animated will be the same when using the same seed value.
Dissolve Between Frames
Controls whether the effect transitions smoothly from one random frame to the next.
Rounded Corners
Controls whether each cropped region has rounded corners. When this option is enabled, additional parameters become available to control corner radius and softness.
Radius
Defines the radius of each rounded corner, expressed in pixel-based units. Although the range for this parameters allows you to enter values up to 1000 pixels, the actual value is limited by the dimensions of your source media. For example, when working with progressive HD media whose dimensions are 1920x1080 pixels, the radius can only go as high as 540 pixels (half the size of the smallest dimension).
Softness
Defines the softness of the contour of each cropped region when the “Rounded Corners” parameter is enabled. The value of this parameter cannot exceed the value specified for the “Radius” parameter. If the “Softness” value exceeds the “Radius” parameter value, the plug-in will automatically use the maximum allowed “Softness” value.
Softness Curve
Defines the gradation curve used to transition from the inside a shape to its edges. When the “Quadratic” or “Cubic” options are selected, the gradation starts and ends closer to the inside of the shape. The “Inverse Quadratic” and “Inverse Cubic” options move the gradation to the outer edge of the shape.

Animate Crop Width / Height
Controls whether the crop width/height of each region is animated as the effect begins to reveal the next region.
Final Crop Width / Height %
Controls the final crop width/height reached by one region as the effect reveals the next region, as a percentage of the width/height of the entire frame.
Animate Zoom Blur
Controls whether a zoom blur effect is applied to each selected region as the effect begins to reveal the next region.
Final Zoom Blur
Controls the final amount of the zoom blur reached by one region as the effect reveals the next region.
Animate Exposure
Controls whether the exposure of each randomly selected region is animated as the effect begins to reveal the next region.
Final Exposure
Controls the final exposure shift reached by one region as the effect reveals the next region.
Animate Scale
Controls whether the uniform zoom level of each randomly selected region is animated as the effect begins to reveal the next region.
Final Scale
Controls the final uniform scale factor reached by one region as the effect reveals the next region.
Color Space
This parameter allows you to choose a working color space for the effect. When the “Linear” option is selected, the plug-in will convert all color values to a non-gamma-corrected format. When the “Uncorrected” option is selected, the color values supplied by the host will be used directly, without conversion. It may help to choose “Uncorrected” when dealing with smooth gradients or vector-art backgrounds, or if you have already applied gamma correction to your source media in a previous step of your workflow.
