A simple masking (matte) plug-in that gives you geometry controls for the mask that are independent of the built-in geometry controls for the track.
Effect Parameters
Presets
Presets contain a snapshot of the plug-in parameters. The Presets control lets you choose among one of the presets built into the plug-in, save current parameter values to a preset file, or load an existing preset file from disk.
A preset file saved to disk via the "Save As" button can be loaded from another instance of the same plug-in by clicking the "Open" button. Presets generated in one host can also be loaded from the same plug-in when used in a different host.
Mask Source
Specify your own media to be used as the mask. Masks are usually defined by grayscale images or movies, but the plug-in will read any media track supported by the host.
Softness
Lets you blur the area defined by the mask, to soften the transition between the foreground (preserved) and background (masked) pixels.
Scale
Defines the uniform scaling factor for the mask.
Scale X/Y
Define independent scaling factors for the mask, over the X and Y axes.
Angle
Defines the angle of rotation of the mask.
Offset X/Y
Defines the distance (in pixels) of the mask from its original, centered, location.
Flip Horizontally/Vertically
These two checkboxes let you flip the contents of the mask image over the horizontal and vertical axes, respectively.
Invert
Enable this parameter to invert the area of the image eroded away by the mask.
