NI Blur Dissolve

Transitions from the source to the destination images by blurring pixels along a customizable direction while cross-fading between the two clips.

Effect Parameters

Presets
Presets contain a snapshot of the plug-in parameters. The Presets control lets you choose among one of the presets built into the plug-in, save current parameter values to a preset file, or load an existing preset file from disk.
A preset file saved to disk via the "Save As" button can be loaded from another instance of the same plug-in by clicking the "Open" button. Presets generated in one host can also be loaded from the same plug-in when used in a different host.

Edge Detection
The strength of the detection algorithm used to determine what pixels contribute to the effect.

Peak Blur (Directional)
The maximum radius of the directional blur applied at the transition’s midpoint.

Blur Angle
The angle of the directional blur.

Peak Blur (Gaussian)
The maximum radius of the gaussian blur applied at the transition’s midpoint. The gaussian blur can be used to smooth out the results of the directional blur.

Peak Exposure
The maximum exposure of both images at the transition’s midpoint. Raise the exposure level to create the look more consistently used today in broadcast productions.

Curve
Controls the in-out progression of blur and exposure values to their peak (Quadratic or Sinusoidal.) This parameter determins how fast images will be blurred or exposed to their peak values.

Repeat Edges
Controls whether pixels that are accessed outside the edges of the frame have the value of the closest edge rather than black. This option prevents transparent black pixels from bleeding into the picture when the effect is applied. This option may negatively affect rendering times on older hardware configurations.
